Naib Tehsildar attacked, injured in Kreeri Bla, accused arrested
Baramulla, Sep 23 (KNO): A Naib Tehsildar in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was on Wednesday injured after he allegedly thrashed by a local youth when he was removing the encroachment in Wanigam Payeen area.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a Naib Tehsildar along with other officials reached Wanigam Payeen area to remove illegal encroachment where he was attacked by a local youth with axes, leaving him injured.
They said the official has received minor injuries and his condition is stable.
Meanwhile, police have arrested the accused in connection with the case and identified him as Muhammad Ashraf of Wanigam Payeen on basis of a complaint lodged by the Tehsildar.
“A case has been registered under FIR number 101/2020 under section 307, 353, 427 IPC at Police Station Kreeri Baramulla in this regard,” police said—(KNO)
