Anantnag, Sep 23 (GNS): In an ongoing drive to ease out the procurement of Domicile Certificates for the residents of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and especially the residents of this south-Kashmir district, Tehsil Office Anantnag on Wednesday issued around four hundred on-spot Domicile Certificates to the desired applicants in presence of Additional District Magistrate.

The drive was conducted for around four sub-offices (Nayabats) including Achabal, Dialgam, Laram Ganjpora and Khanbal during which Tehsildar Abdul Wasi Rouf Deva, Naib-Tehsildar Nazir Ahmad alongside Additional District Magistrate Gulzar Ahmad issued four-hundred such certificates to the desired applicants.

While talking to media persons, Tehsildar Anantnag Abdul Wasi Rouf Deva said that they have issued around four-hundred Domicile Certificates at four different sub-offices (Nayabats) in the district. “Of the total certificates issued across different sub-offices (Nayabats), 130 were issued at Achabal and Dialgam, 170 at Anantnag by concerned Naib-Tehsildar, 50 each at KG Raina and Khanbal”, Deva said.

Earlier on Thursday last, the Tehsildar had issued around eight-hundred such certificates to the desired applicants, Deva maintained.

The office, as per the official, has drafted a schedule/roster to facilitate the issuance of the Domicile Certificates to the desired applicants on a fastrack basis.

Urging the people to come forward and take benefit from the drive, Deva said that “We take this occassion to appeal more and more people to come forward to benefit from this ongoing drive.” (GNS)
