Hours after his death, ASI ITBP tests positive for COVID-19
Srinagar, Sep 06 (KNO): Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) who died due to cardiac arrest last night was tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a 55-year-old ASI of ITBP identified as Prem Lal of Haryana of 21 Battalion posted at Pantha Chowk Srinagar died due to cardiac arrest in the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday.
They said that ASI was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar in unconscious state, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Sources at SMHS hospital said that his body was kept at GMC mortuary as his swab was taken for Coronavirus test, which has returned positive in the evening—(KNO)
