Fire erupted in compartment No. 145 and 146 in Chitteybandy and Aragam area falling under Ajas forest range of Bandipora and is spreading fast. The locals said that the compartment under fire is very dense in Bandipora division
Meanwhile DC Bandipora shahbaz Mirza said that Forest Team has been rushed to the spot by DFO Bandipora, Two parties along with locals stand deputed for dousing operations. it is alpine pastures and will take some time for complete dousing off, though it has been stopped from spreading.
