Three militants killed in north Kashmir gunfight: Army
Army on Saturday claimed to have killed three militants in a gunfight in Dana Bahak in Malangam forest area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, where search operation was launched on Monday after gunshots were heard.
Defence spokesman, Colonel Rajesh Kalia in a statement said: “three militants were killed in Danna operation. Weapons and other warlike stores recovered. Operation over.”
An official said that the operation had launched on last Monday by Army personnel of 27 RR and 31 RR after militants attacked a patrolling party in the forest.
“After an exchange of fire, the army launched a massive operation in the forest area which ended today on the killing of three militants.,” said an official.
