Demonetisation helped curbing terrorism, stone-pelting in Valley: J&K DGP

Jammu: The state of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed lesser acts of terror and stone-pelting in recent times due to demonetisation, said a J&K top cop on Friday.
State DGP SP Vaid attributed the dip in stone-pelting incidents in Kashmir to the government’s note ban exercise, adding that it has also helped in eliminating hawala transactions and black money.
While speaking at the 16th Veeranna Aivalli Memorial Debate here on Thursday, Vaid explained that the note ban exercise has helped in bringing down rampant terror activities witnessed in the state, a few months ago.
