Braid Chopping: Restrictions in parts of Srinagar

Srinagar
Curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in parts of Srinagar on Friday to thaw protests following a call by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against the unabated incidents of braid chopping across the Kashmir valley.
However, life elsewhere in the Valley, including Srinagar uptown, was normal.
Over 100 incidents of braid chopping have been reported from different parts of the Valley during the last two month.
However, no one has been arrested by the Jammu Kashmir Police as of yet.
Locals and the JRL allege that the “security agencies” are responsible for these incidents.
