Restrictions in Kashmir’s Srinagar areas tomorrow: Admin
Srinagar administration has decided to impose restrictions under Section 144 CrPC in 7 police station tommorrow, the 6th of October 2017.
The areas where restrictions will be imposed include Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal, M R Gunj, and partial in Maisuma, Kralkhud.
An official in the administration told KNS that the restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure. (KNS)
Meanwhile, massive protests erupted at many places against alleged failure of the government to stop such incidents in Kashmir, where a youth mistaken for braid chopper was thrashed by locals.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Muneer Khan yesterday said that it was hard for the police to nab the culprits behind braid chopping as the victims were not cooperating.
Officials said that braid of a 10-year-old girl, who was sleeping, was chopped off by unidentified persons at her house in Gulberg colony in Srinagar during the intervening night of October 4 and 5.
