Motorcyclists hurl grenade at police party in Baramulla, two cops injured
Suspected militants riding a motorcycle on Monday hurled a grenade at a police party in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, leaving two cops injured.
An official said that a joint Police/Army Naka was established at Juhama, Baramulla for routine area domination.
“At about 1850 hours one motorcycle approached from opposite side and while seeing the Naka Party made an about turn. While being challenged to stop one among the two militants riding the motor cycle hurled a grenade towards the Naka Party,” said the official.
He said that two policemen received minor injuries.
“Area has been cordoned. Case has been registered and investigation taken up,” said the official
