Third civilian injured in Tral grenade attack succumbs
Pulwama: A youth from Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district who was injured in the recent grenade blast succumbed at SKIMS, Soura, sources said Wednesday. With the succumbing of Mushtaq, the death toll in the Tral grenade attack has risen to four.
Mushtaq Ahmad Shiekh, 35, son of Ghulam Mohi ud Din Sheikh, a resident of Tral Payeen was injured critically during a grenade attack on the cavalcade of R&B Minister Naeem Akhtar.
“The doctors at SKIMS tried everything to curb the continuous bleeding of Mushtaq but could not succeed and finally he succumbed,” his relatives told .
Meanwhile, as the news about the death of Mushtaq reached Tral, the shopkeepers pulled down their shutters and public transport went off the roads.
Pertinently, two civilians Rattandeep Kour @ Pinky Kour daughter of Ichpal Singh resident of Chattrogam and Ghulam Nabi Trag son of Ghulam Ahmad Trag resident of Tral-e-Payeen were killed after a grenade attack on the cavalcade of PDP leader and R&B minister Naeem Akhtar on Thursday last. At least 30 persons including some forces personnel were also injured in the incident. With the succumbing of Mushtaq, the death toll in the incident has gone up to four.
