Entry of strangers banned into Doda as mysterious braid-chopping continues
As mysterious braid-chopping incidents continue to spread scare in hilly district Doda with 14 cases reported in 10 days from different parts of the hills, District Development Commissioner (DDC) banned entry of strangers in entire district for a period of two months.
DDC Doda, Bhawani Rakwal while using section 144 CrPc imposed ban on the entry of strangers and unknown persons under order no:-DMD/17/728.
“As braid chopping incidents were being reported from across the district, sending entire administration into a tizzy as a wave of terror spread entire area, especially among women folk, administration was compelled to take the decision,” said DDC Doda Bhawani Rakwal.
“As a precaution, entry of strangers including Pehriwalas, Unknown Persons, Baazigars, Scent Sellers, Beggars, outside labourers and street hawkers has been banned in the district for period of two months,” DDC added saying that they can enter the district only after prior permission from the concerned police station /police post of the area.
It is notable to mention here that since last 10 days, 14 cases have been reported to the Doda Police including 6 from Bhadarwah, three from Doda, 2 from Marmat and 3 from Gandoh.
