Rohangya Muslims issue; Police foil KEA protest march to UNMOG

Police on Wednesday foiled the protest march of Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) and detained Co chairman Farooq Ahmed dar along with several traders who tried to march towards the United Nations Military observer group office sonwar here.

The protest march was being held against atrocities by Buddhist Terrisots in Mayamar.

Holding placards and shouting slogans on Wednesday, traders led by KEA Co-chairperson Farooq Ahmad Dar assembled at the Press Enclave to lodge and held a sit-in. As soon as the protesters tried to march towards UNMOGIP Sonwar, police detained them. The protesting traders including Dar were released later in the day. Talking to reporters, Farooq Ahmed Dar expressed grief over the silence maintained by world community and said that Rohingya Muslims have right to defend and pay in equal terms to these killers. He said that if authorities in Myanmar failed to protect Muslim community, then it will have dire consequences.

“They are killing, rapping women and razing houses to ground, and it is obligatory for Muslim Ummah to come to the rescue of their brethren in Myanmar” He said

Denouncing Myanmar authorities headed by its president Aan San Sochi, KEA Co-Chairman said that it is highly deplorable that Muslim communities face worst type of state sponsored genocide and salience maintained by its authorities is more painful.

He asked Bangladesh authorities to come to the rescue of fleeing Muslims.

“Where ever such incidents take place UNO feels responsibility to react however their silence with respect to Myanmar Muslims illustrates their bias approach”.Dar Said
