Additional director general of police Muneer Ahmed Khan today said that it took police only four hours to crack the case of escaping of a top Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Naveed Jhat alias Abu Hanzallah.

“We have arrested three militants and an OGW involved in this act who include Shakil Ahmed, Tika Khan and Syed Tajamul alias Rahil Kachroo. The OGW has been identified as Muhammad Shafi, who provided vehicle and a bike to ensure escape of Naveed,” ADGP Khan said in an overcrowded press conference here. The ADGP said that one of the Hizbul Mujahideen militants Hilal Rather also participated in the act and “he is the one who provided pistol to Naveed and both fired at two cops, resulting in their death later.”
